形態特徵

• Culms tufted, ca. 25 cm tall, 1 mm across.
• Blade 7-8 cm. long, 2 mm wide, pubescent throughout; ligule chartaceous, truncate, ca. 0.3 mm long, hispid abaxially.
• Inflorescence a single raceme, ca. 3 cm long. Spikelets paired, dimorphic, all sessile, upper reduced, linear; lower fertile, ovate, compressed, ca. 4 mm long. Lower glume ovate, ca. 3.2 mm long, chartaceous, hirsute abaxially, spiny on margins; upper glume lanceolate, chartaceous, margins inrolled, 3-nerved, minutely hirsute on lower back, ca. 3 mm long; lower lemma and palea hyaline; lemma lanceolate, ca. 3.2 mm long; palea 2-keeled abaxially, ca. 3 mm long. Upper floret fertile,hyaline, nerveless.
• Caryopsis oblong, ca. 1.5 mm long; embryo 1/2 its length of caryopsis.

分布

• 台灣 : Locally it has been found only once on the plains in central Taiwan.
• 世界 : India, Myanmar, Malaysia, Thailand and Southern China.
